CTA’s Health Fitness and Wellness Committee R11 recently published CTA-2065.1. This standard uses the framework outlined in ANSI/CTA-2108, Framework for Validation of Digital Health Technology-Derived Metrics under Naturalistic or Unconstrained Test Conditions, to refine, modify, or update key components of CTA-2065-A, Physical Activity Monitoring For Heart Rate based on real-world application.
CTA’s Audio and Video Systems Committee (R4) recently published, CTA-542-D S-2023, Cable Television Channel Identification Plan. This is a stabilization of CTA-542-D R-2018. This standard designates identification numbers for 6 MHz channel frequency allocations for 158 channels up to 1002 MHz, with a method of specifying higher channel numbers.
CTA’s Audio and Video Systems Committee (R4) recently published, CTA-2071 R-2023, HDR Still Photo Interface. This standard defines a still photo file format capable of storing HDR information readable by TVs.
CTA’s Audio and Video Systems Committee (R4) recently published, CTA-814-C R-2023, Emergency Messaging for Cable. This is a reaffirmation of ANSI/CTA-814-C/J-STD-42-C. This standard defines protocols for codes sent to consumer devices instructing them to automatically change channels to the dedicated channel with the emergency alert and instructing them how long to remain on the emergency channel until returning to the channel the viewer had been watching.

This voluntary standard identifies the current recommended practices for managing, characterizing, and safeguarding data for developing artificial intelligence-based applications in health care.
