CTA Donates $1 Million to Aid Victims of Las Vegas Shooting and Natural Disasters

   Arlington, VA - January 19, 2018 -The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) today announced a collective donation of $1 million to disaster relief efforts in California, Florida, Puerto Rico and Texas, and assistance organizations addressing critical needs in the Las Vegas community. The contributions help 11 organizations that are supporting recovery efforts on the ground.

   "We represent American companies, and following the devastation and tragedy we wanted to help our fellow citizens get back on their feet as quickly as possible," said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CTA. "We recognize that no amount of resources will erase the suffering these communities have experienced. However, our industry is committed to supporting the hundreds of volunteers and affected individuals overcome these difficult times."
