Home Illumination Study (CTA-TR-1)

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) and the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) conducted a joint survey to characterize illuminance at locations where TVs are frequently installed in homes. The results of this study were used to develop test procedures that measure the performance of automatic brightness control (ABC) circuitry in TV sets that have such circuitry. (Note: At the time of publication CTA was known as the Consumer Electronics Association (CTA).)
