2022 Technology Product Lifecycle Study

This study attempts to understand attitudes and behavior when it comes to buying new technology products and accessories. Specific objectives include:

  • Measure expected useful life and current age of consumer tech products/accessories
  • Identify new and used/certified refurbished purchase rates
  • Identify resources used by consumers for product research
  • Identify factors that lead to end of useful life for products
  • Gauge frequency of product upgrades and replacement
  • Role of e-Cycling/re-use in consumer decisions
