Division Projects
NEXTGEN TV is the go-to-market name for ATSC-3.0 IP-enabled broadcast transmission – an enhanced over-the-air viewing experience that offers better picture, audio and interactivity.
8K Ultra HD Logo Program
CTA has created an 8K Ultra HD logo that will be available shortly for licensing by manufacturers to designate televisions that meet the 8K UHD Display Characteristics requirements. The logo may be used starting Jan. 1, 2020.

CTA has created a logo program, available for licensing, for use by manufacturers to designate TVs, monitors and projectors for the home as 4K Ultra High Definition. The two 4K Ultra HD logos are available for voluntary use by manufacturers for product packaging, marketing materials and promotional activities that meet CTA’s voluntary core characteristics for 4K Ultra HD display products.
Retailers, buying groups and other organizations can use the logo for promotional, educational and marketing activities for products covered under the licensing agreement and for promoting the 4K Ultra HD market in general.
4K Terminology Glossary
The Video Division, in collaboration with the Ultra HD Alliance, has created consumer definitions for 4K video technologies in a visuals-supported glossary.
Television Technology Glossary
The Video Division, in collaboration with other member divisions, has created consumer definitions for television technologies in a technology glossary.
