Foundation Grants
The foundation’s grants strategically support programs that improve the lives of seniors and people with disabilities. Because we consider grants part of a partnership, we work closely with our grantees to ensure their programs’ success.

Ablegamers Charity
The Ablegamers Charity gives people with disabilities custom gaming setups including modified controllers and special assistive technology to improve their quality of life. AbleGamers provides gaming hardware and software, virtual and onsite trainings, and ongoing support through peer counseling to various types of therapists at partner rehabilitation centers and hospitals across the United States.

Adler Aphasia Center
The Adler Aphasia Center provides communication groups for adults with aphasia, a communication disorder. They will be introducing new technology into the member groups that will allow members to interact with technology, increasing their ability to communicate with their peers. Through these technology investments, hundreds of people with aphasia and their caregivers will benefit from therapeutic programming that promotes rehabilitation and greatly improves socialization.

American Council of the Blind
The American Council of the Blind (ACB) is developing an Alexa skill using data from the Audio Description Project (ADP) website to help users find audio-described content across TV, movie theaters, streaming services, and local cultural institutions through voice interaction. The ADP, an ACB initiative, advocates for high-quality audio description in visual media, sponsors training and events for describers, honors creators, and raises awareness about its importance.

American Printing House for the Blind
The American Printing House for the Blind (APH) plans to deliver the APH Meet Monarch: A Regional Training & Cohort to teachers of the visually impaired representing schools and/or services for the blind in California, Iowa, Maryland, Texas, and Washington. APH will provide a Monarch dynamic tactile device, two-day educator training, and peer resources, at no cost to participants, and reduce barriers to learning for blind K-12 students.

Blythedale Children’s Hospital Assistive Technology (AT) program helps medically complex children overcome the physical, emotional, and social effects of congenital and acquired disabilities using assistive technology such as prosthetics and computer hardware and software.

Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation
Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation funds advancements in research and technology. This grant supports Remarkable US, the first nonprofit-funded assistive technology accelerator, which quickly brings affordable solutions to increase independence for disabled people. Expanding access to assistive technology ensures full societal inclusion for everyone, including people with disabilities and the aging population.

Community Tech Network
Community Tech Network's 2024 initiative will provide computer training, ongoing technical support, and internet connections for 123 low income, socially isolated, homebound seniors who have been previously given a senior friendly computer or tablet by CTN. This program will facilitate seniors's access to tech as well as assistance with their tech devices; free replacement or repair as needed, and any other additional tech support.

Connecticut Institute for the Blind d/b/a/ Oak Hill
Oak Hill’s NEAT Center Accessible Gaming program is designed to serve people with disabilities and promote gaming accessibility through assessments and awareness initiatives. This year's initiative will impact individuals with disabilities and their access to gaming through consultations, adaptable equipment, customized tools for each user's needs, and technology training and support.

Cyber-Seniors
The Cyber-Seniors initiative this year aims to empower visually impaired student volunteers through specialized youth volunteer training. Specifically tailored to address the unique needs of this demographic, the training program emphasizes proficiency in navigating adaptive devices and technology. Easter Seals Greater Houston, Inc.
BridgingApps, a program of Easter Seals of Greater Houston, will expand its website content – a digital compendium of mobile apps and short training videos focused on seniors and those with disabilities. The grant will also allow BridgingApps to expand the Did You Know – On the Go series that brings hands-on technology demonstrations and training to older adults in the community.

Easterseals Arkansas
Easterseals Arkansas is implementing a demonstration project that will leverage the latest smart home consumer technology to drastically increase independence for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities while reducing staff costs. With support from CTA, Easterseals will pilot remote in-home monitoring services at six apartments where current adult clients reside.

Encore Employment Enterprise(E3)was created to meet the needs of experienced workers aged 50 and better who want to stay in the workforce and contribute to their communities while earning an income. This funding enables E3 to train individuals aged 50 and better in call center and customer service roles using technology that empowers them to thrive.

Front Porch Center for Innovation and Wellbeing
Front Porch's initiative, "Gaming to Connect" is an intergenerational video gaming program to promote mental health, physical wellbeing, and social engagement. Through our Center for Innovation and Wellbeing, the project will foster social connectivity, accessibility, and adoption through multiple events and activities between local partners, volunteers, and older adults in residential communities and senior centers.

America’s Volunteer Driver Center is a national public information campaign to recruit volunteer drivers by changing the way Americans think about and support mobility for older adults and people with mobility challenges. This grant supports consumer-friendly help system for the ITNRides application.

Lutheran Services in America
Lutheran Services in America provides technology to low-income older adults with mobility and physical impairments, to expand the impact of access to telehealth, cognitive tools and virtual visits with family in 17 affordable housing facilities in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.

MOKA is piloting an innovative model for residential living that incorporates technology enabled supports to create a Smart Home. In other states, this model has demonstrated the capacity to increase independence for adults with disabilities as well as implements a more effective utilization of direct support hours in the midst of a nationwide staffing shortage.

PSS (Presbyterian Senior Services)
PSS is increasing the Digital Capacity of low-income older adults (OAs) across the NYC metro region through their ""Life University Tech Trainings"". delivered at their 10 OA Centers in the Bronx and Harlem. These centers serve those who are marginalized due advanced age, low to poverty-level income, limited education, language barriers, and inadequate services.

St. John's Community Services
SJCS's program serves seniors with age related conditions that require support to age in place without the need to transition from their home to a facility. This year's funding is focused on a remote support platform that monitors vital signs, mood, and behavior as well as items in the home to ensure safety.

United Spinal Association
The United Spinal Association is aiming to grow the Tech Access component of their 2024 Strong Wheeled Together Conference (SWTCon). Expansion of the Tech Access Programming will focus on utilizing technology to reduce loneliness, isolation, and bolster mental health and wellness among wheelchair users, as well as placing technology at the heart of travel and recreation for wheelchair users.
