Each January, CES® creates many moments of serendipity and surprise, but the show experience is different for everyone. Buyers, dealmakers, media and tech enthusiasts walk the halls of CES and discover tech pushing our industry to new heights. Global brands use CES to meet global customers and partners, make news, and show off their latest innovations. And CES offers entrepreneurs in Eureka Park — our home for startups — the recognition, investors and media that help new businesses thrive and grow.

What do those experiences have in common? They’re founded on the magic of in-person connection. Each January, the world’s most innovative entrepreneurs, talented creators and inspiring leaders come together for an event that defines and reshapes the trajectory of our industry. After a few years that challenged all of us, I am inspired by the “attitude of gratitude” I’ve witnessed at our recent events. People are excited to be back together again. They know that CES creates opportunities to create and build relationships, host meetings, make deals and get business done.

Connections forged this week will change our world.

With this enthusiasm and an ever-accelerating pace of innovation, I’m thrilled to be back in Las Vegas for CES. As always, our exhibition halls will host transformative technologies and jaw-dropping advances in new and emerging fields like the metaverse and Web3, mobility, sustainability, digital health and AI. You’ll also see those themes, and more, reflected in more than 200 conference sessions throughout the four days of the show.

CES 2023 will offer keen focus on innovations now solving the world’s greatest challenges. To advance that goal, we’re collaborating with HS4A — Human Security for All — a global campaign of the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS) and the UN Trust Fund for Human Security (UNTFHS). Technology plays an important role in protecting and enhancing human securities — or as we often call them, human rights. And of course, the heart and soul of CES lies in tech innovation that improves and enriches our lives. Our community can help lead those efforts, and we’ve seen many CES participants rise to the challenge.

From autonomous technology making agriculture more sustainable, and wearable health devices providing more data and information about our health, to smart home tech reducing our use of energy and fossil fuels, CES exhibitors will show technology that will improve the lives of millions of people around the globe. As they do each year, the connections fostered this week will spur even more life-changing advances. I have never been more energized and optimistic about how technology can transform our world. After your time with us in Las Vegas, I am confident you’ll feel the same!
