The Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® once again earned recognition as one of the Healthiest Employers in Virginia by Springbuk Health in 2020. The awards program, powered by Springbuk and hosted by FirstPerson, was created to honor people-first organizations that prioritize the well-being of their employees. Companies are recognized because of their commitment to workplace wellness and their exceptional health and benefits offerings.

Amid the pandemic, the physical and mental health of an organization’s employees is paramount. CTA’s focus on total wellness — physical, financial and mental — is innovative and unique among Washington, DC-area employers. CTA promotes a healthy work/life balance and places emphasis on both short- and long-term well-being. Notable health and wellness benefits for employees at CTA include:

  • Remote work for all employees.
  • Plexiglass dividers to socially distance during in-person meetings.
  • Dedicated travel paths with building signage to encourage social distancing.
  • Multiple sanitizing stations on each floor.
  • Foot pedals installed on bathroom doors to reduce touch points.
  • Socially distanced flu shot clinic (held in the fall).
  • Telemedicine services: This service is accessible 24/7/365 for non-emergency health care issues via phone and video consult provided by a physician.
  • Mental health services through employee programs.

CTA, the nation's largest tech trade association, has some 130 employees and is an inclusive environment for all staff. Now, more than ever, the health and wellness of staff is critical — amid so many changes in lifestyle at home. CTA embraces these challenges, putting its employees first.
