Helping CTA Members Give Back

by
Steve Ewell

2020 has been a tumultuous year. The pandemic, economy, social unrest and other issues have people divided and struggling. As we face these challenges, we also have the opportunity to highlight the good our industry does and identify ways to continue that work.

At the CTA Foundation we are committed to helping address these challenges. We recently announced $700,000 in grants to nonprofits serving older adults and people with disabilities, many of whom are facing problems due to COVID-19. We are also working closely with key stakeholders in government, nonprofits, academia and industry to continue to develop programs and partnerships to meet these needs.

As we continue these programs, we are also looking at how we can further assist CTA members and we have two new opportunities. The first is assistance in identifying and vetting causes to support. At the CTA Foundation we have years of experience and tools in place to help us identify and support the organizations that best advance our mission. We now offer that support to the broader CTA membership. We can help identify your organization’s charitable priorities and then identify organizations that fit those issues.

The second opportunity will take place during CES 2021. Throughout the show, the CTA Foundation will be telling the stories of how technology is helping people live, work and play independently. Planning is underway for a variety of events. If you or your company are interested in getting involved, telling your stories and supporting the work of the CTA Foundation, please contact me. We look forward to continuing to do good on behalf of the industry and assisting the industry in giving back in a way that benefits our communities, employees and loved ones. I look forward to hearing about your interests and how we can help make a difference. If you are interested in learning more, contact me at sewell@CTAFoundation.tech or 703-907-7660.
