This Figure shows the horizontal and vertical timing diagrams of the Video Timing. The Vfront, Vsync, and Vback values are defined in terms of Video Lines, see CTA-861, Section 2.2. The signals Hsync, Vsync, Data Enable, and Clock are encoded in an interface-specific manner. Please refer to the interface specification for details.
High-definition Video Timings, including all OVT Video Timings, use positive vertical and horizontal sync. Lines are always numbered sequentially from 1 to Vtotal. The Ln value, indicated in the diagrams, provides the line number of the leading-line of vertical sync in field 1 for the Video Timing. In the case of high-definition Video Timings, including OVT, Ln is always 1.
NOTE: Modifying these parameters from their default values will result in non-compliant video timings. Experimental use only! See CTA-861-I, Table 181.
Select Video Resolutions and Frame Rates supported by the Sink Device. Add the VFDB data to the CTA Data Block Collection in a CTA Extension Block of the EDID. Disabled selections are not valid for VFDBs, and have to be indicated by VIC-based SVDs in VDBs. Checked disabled selections indicate implied support, but must be ignored by the Source.
