Second Season In Development Following Success of “Technology’s Golden Age”

Earlier this year, the Consumer Technology Association launched ‘Technology’s Golden Age,’ a branded short film series produced by multi-award winning BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions, highlighting consumer technology and its power to improve quality of life for people of all ages and abilities. In the first eight weeks alone, more than three million people watched the series, a testament to technology’s power to create an inclusive, empowered and healthy society.

Building on significant interest, the Consumer Technology Association will launch a second series, exploring how technology can enhance climate resilience, social inclusion and global health. The new series will bring to screen human-centric stories, showcasing the power of technology to help solve big global challenges.

Share Your Story

We encourage the technology community to submit stories showing how technology innovations are improving the lives of people around the globe. BBC StoryWorks’ creative teams will review submissions, and a selection will be invited to discuss opportunities to produce a branded piece for the series.

“Technology has always been a driver of creative solutions to global challenges,” said Melissa Harrison, Vice President of Communications and Marketing, Consumer Technology Association. “I’m excited to tell the stories of technologies that are changing the lives of people around the globe.”

The second season will focus on questions like: Can technology reframe how we engage with the world around us? Can it respond to the varied concerns of those who stand to benefit most from innovation? In ‘a golden age for technology,’ how do we ensure that humans benefit? If you have a great story to tell, share it with CTA and BBC StoryWorks by September 20 at https://www.bbcstudios.com/tech-stories
