The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has been named one of the Best Workplaces for CommutersSM in 2018 by the Center of Urban Transportation Research for offering exceptional employee-provided commuter benefits that meet the National Standard of Excellence criteria.

“We are proud that CTA has received the 2018 Best Workplaces for Commuters national designation,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CTA. “We understand and take satisfaction in alleviating challenges that our employees face when it comes to traffic congestion and concerns for reducing emissions on their daily commute.”

With over 30 percent of employees using metro/ carpool benefits, CTA is among a select group of workplaces in the United States that have committed to employee-provided commuter benefits that result in at least 14 percent of their employee base not driving alone to work within a 12-month period. CTA offers employees several commuter benefit options, including:
  • Metro subsidy of up to $260 per month
  • Bike storage
  • Discounted parking for employees who carpool to work (50% discount for 2 person carpool and free parking for 3+ person carpool)
  • Teleworking/flexible work program
  • $25,000 down payment towards a house within a 5-mile commute of the office
