Accessibility

We believe federal regulations should balance the goals of improved accessibility and the flexibility to innovate. CTA works with the FCC to ensure accessibility of modern telecommunications technologies from televisions to video conferencing platforms for seniors and people with disabilities.

As a member of the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Disability Advisory Committee, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® supports industry-driven solutions and actively works with the accessibility community to ensure innovative tech is accessible to people with disabilities.

CTA also works with members of Congress to help the millions of Americans suffering from mild to moderate hearing loss get access to affordable solutions, such as over-the-counter hearing devices. Additionally, CTA helps ensure that people with hearing loss can choose from a wide variety of hearing aid compatible wireless devices.

CTA Foundation
